Objectives
The aim of the Spares Theory course is to give the attendees an understanding of analytical models and techniques for spare parts optimisation.
Special focus is placed on OPUS10TM but also other models are addressed.
The mathematical theory on which spare parts optimisation models are built is explained and justified. Furthermore, algorithms and methods used for solving resulting optimisation problems are presented.

Course LocationCourses are normally held at the Hotel Rembrandt, Weymouth. An AA 3 star hotel, it is situated close to Weymouth Esplanade and a short walk from the town centre.

Course StructureThis course is a workshop for a maximum of 6 students. It will include manual calculation and extensive hands-on use of OPUS10TM, to reinforce learning points. The exercises are intended to challenge student who will work at their own pace aided by the instructor where necessary.
