AIM

The aim of the SIMLOX Basic Training Course is to provide students with the ability to understand the difference between Probabilistic & Simulation Models, understand the need for Simulation, run the SIMLOX Model and understand the results.

OBJECTIVES The objectives of this course are to enable students to:

1. Build a basic model by importing data from the OPUS10 Logistic and Spares Optimisation tool.
2. Understand the need for replications
3. Develop Operational Profiles and consider the Impact of different use profiles with the same utilisation
4. Consider the impact of different solutions for the same scenario, for example by analysing different stock solutions
5. Consider the impact of different scenario extensions such as robbing, item criticality and batch transportation
6. Introduce Game Mode
7. Introduce tasks and resources and consider their impact on system operation

This course will last for THREE days.
