A Four Day Workshop

AIM

The aim of the SIMLOX Advanced Training Course is to provide students with the ability to model more complex factors that can effect system performance.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of this course are to enable students to model more complex factors that may have an impact on system performance and improve their ability to use the SIMLOX Model more effectively by :-
  1. Cementing the topics dealt with during the SIMLOX Basic Training Course.
  2. Enabling the use of Transport policies opening and closing of pipelines.
  3. Considering the Movement of systems, stocks and resources etc.
  4. Considering the impact of System and item Preventative Maintenance.
  5. Introducing Damage.
  6. Enabling the use of Remote system repair.
  7. Including the effects of System Preparation and Turnaround.
  8. Considering the impact of System Variants.
  9. Considering the impact of Lateral Resupply
  10. Introducing System Configuration and Re-Configurations using "Plug and Play" LRU's
  11. Considering the impact of Autonomous Stations
  12. Consider Alterative Units on Task
  13. Introducing other mission patterns
  14. Considering the impact of Missions Requiring Multiple System Types
  15. Considering the impact of Mission Criticality
  16. Introducing Alternative Resources
  17. Considering the impact of changes to Data during the Simulation
  18. Introducing Distributions
  19. Enabling the use of Result Collection profiles
  20. Considering the impact of Mission Dependency
Practical Experience

The course is a workshop for a maximum of four students that will include manual calculation and hands-on use of SIMLOX, to reinforce learning points. Attendees are requested to provide a calculator for their own use. The exercises are intended to challenge the students ability to analyse the information provided and apply it to the model. As experienced SIMLOX users, students will be expected to work on the exercises as individuals and be able to use their analytical skills to identify possible solutions.

Attendees who meet the following criteria will gain most from this course:
  • Be a regular SIMLOX User.
  • Had at least 12 Months Continuous Experience since attending the SIMLOX Basic Training Course or been an occasional user for a much longer period.
