The objective of the Basic Course is to enable students to understand basic modelling and be able to navigate their way around OPUS10TM.
By the end of the course students will be able to:- Understand where, and more importantly, where NOT to use OPUS10TM.
- Understand how to model Maintenance Breakdown Structures and Logistic Support Organisations (LSO)
- Model Stock and Repair policies within LSOs.
- Input and test datasets
- Run OPUS10TM and select results for customised reports.
- Understand the role of OPUS10TM in Life Cycle Cost analyses and Level of Repair Analysis. (Follow the link for a definition of Life Cycle Costs)
- Import and export data
- Understand the Measures of Effectiveness, which OPUS10TM can calculate.

Course DurationThis course lasts for THREE Days.
Course LocationCourses are normally held at the Hotel Rembrandt, Weymouth. An AA 3 star hotel, it is situated close to Weymouth Esplanade and a short walk from the town centre.

Course StructureThis course is a workshop for a maximum of 6 students. It will include manual calculation and extensive hands-on use of OPUS10TM, to reinforce learning points.
The exercises are intended to challenge student who will work at their own pace aided by the instructor where necessary.
