Release of Simlox v4.2 and CATLOC v5.1
Systecon are pleased to announce the release of SIMLOXv4.2 and CATLOCv5.1 enabling compatibility with the latest OPUS10v8 release..SIMLOXv4.2 is an intermediate version with the main focus on compatibility with OPUS10v8. An earlier intermediate version (4.1) included all changes in OPUS10v8 except for the new model for CM tasks and failure modes.
- Task model for corrective maintenance. Like OPUS10v8 there is now an option to more explicitly describe corrective maintenance (CM) in terms of failure modes and tasks. This gives a more flexible model where each item can have several failure modes, each with its own repair data. It also reduces the risk of modelling mistakes where the physical breakdown structure is used instead of the maintenance replacement structure. It will also facilitate data import and export to ILS databases, which are usually based on tasks.
- Preventive maintenance. The model for preventive maintenance (PM) has been modified to be compatible with OPUS10v8. The various input tables to describe PM have been adjusted to match the revised OPUS10 tables which, in turn reflects the new OPUS10 model for CM tasks. Like OPUS10v8 it is now also possible to link PM to items or subsystems.
- Import from OPUS10. The import of data from OPUS10 to SIMLOX has been modified to handle input and output files created in OPUS10v8. SIMLOX still allows for import of OPUS10v7 data. When the import file is opened SIMLOX automatically detects whether it is a v7 or v8 data file.
- The model view. Like OPUS10v8 the former Item View has been renamed to Model View and has been modified to the same look and feel as in OPUS10v8.
- On-line HELP. The online Help functionality has been changed from the previous WinHelp system to a HTML-based system that also works in Windows Vista and later.
measure for different breakdown structures. This enables the user to model, for
example, costs and workload in the same case.
Another reason for version 5.1 is the two new versions of OPUS10, versions 8.0 and 8.1. These versions include, among other things, a task model for corrective maintenance and an updated LSC model. The OPUS10 import functionality in CATLOC has been adapted to these changes in the OPUS10 model.
